I didn’t get anything from the H&M Comme des Garçons collection last year and it still bothers me to this day. I loved the stuff but hardly thought it was worth waiting a hour plus in line for, so I never got my black & white poka dot fix.

So instead I found this scarf from the chinaman selling $5 “pashminas” on the streets of soho. It satisfies my drug habit for the time being.

EDIT: I just realized the silhouette of my outfit looks like one of these girls.
ooooOOlala nOir jewelry is always sooooo shiny & pretty. Looking at it makes you feel like glitter is shooting out of your eyes.

Plain Payless sneakers + Starks Laces = affordable awesomeness

Dope sneaker game, priceless
Also thanks to Starks Laces for sending out two free pairs (RGB & Checkers) with my Tennis laces order to make up for the delay in shipping! I actually was thinking about ordering the RGB ones anyway.

I was internet window shopping (I’ve been doing that lately, broke folk style) and came across a bunch of stuff I liked on Karmaloop, I then deemed the items worthy enough to dedicate a blog post in their honor.
Karmaloop is a Boston based company run by a bunch of young 20something individuals. They all work hard to provide streetwear to the masses via the internets. Here are my picks..click on the pictures for purchase info.

Everyone is talking about the ‘Run This Town’ video with Rihanna, jay-z and kanye west (view video here) so I have to get in my thoughts on it too. I loooove the video, but disappointed in kanye’s part. I feel like they should have put in someone better(yikees). The vid has a modern version of a old skool Ruff Ryders video feel to it, no? bet you haven’t heard anyone use that description! But in all seriousness, awesome video, awesome art direction and awesome styling.

These were the shades RiRi was wearing in the video, A-Morir By Kerin Rose. Product description via @kerinrose twitter “the a-morir eyewear in “run this town” is completely covered in matte black pyramid studs and you can see through them”. It looks like these were custom made for RiRi but you can find A-Morir product on her site or at Patricia Field’s shop.
I had met Kerin Rose back in my Ugly Betty intern days when I would do product pickups and dropoffs to the Particia Field store. This was only a few months ago and kerin’s A-Morir line as already blown up and seems to be a really fast growing project for her, I’m extremely impressed AND inspired!

These are a pair that are currently for sale that I love, also seen on Katy Kerry below..

Keep a lookout for future A-Morir By Kerin Rose products in the future, I cant wait to see what else she comes up with!
I had first seen Erica Weiner Jewelry at the Brooklyn Renegade Craft fair that I had blogged back in June. I guess I didn’t take a good look at her jewelry back then cause I recently visited her site and found this Penis Bone necklace.

The Penis Bone Necklace comes in either brass($60) or silver($70)
Product Description, “Did you know that small mammals, like foxes, raccoons, and lynxes have penis bones that are disproportionately large to their body sizes? Well, they do. This is a 2 1/4″ mammal’s penis bone, probably from a fox, that has been cast in various precious metals. Inspired by JT LeRoy’s (or Laura Albert’s) literary depiction of his hero bedecked in a raccoon penis bone necklace.”
I can honestly say that I have never seen this design. You see a lot of jewelry designers with pendants in the shape of a owl, octopus, tree branches, knives… those typical necklace pendents, but I have never came across a Penis Bone pendant. What makes it even better is that no one will even know what it is unless they ask.
This is what I got from the Erica Weiner Jewelry booth at the Brooklyn Renegade Craft fair

These name bracelets which can be purchased HERE were not designed and made by Erica Weiner, the 1960′s bracelets were bought dead stock so there were only a couple of names to choose from. I chose Phyllis (cause I think it’s a funny name), and Juliette (no reason).
Another bracelet I liked but didn’t end up getting is this Belt Bracelet (2 for $20)
